Deer Chili - Camp Recipe

I know I haven't posted in a while, had some issues needing my attention.  One of them was building a camper shed for my new/used camper I acquired this year, so out with the old

and in with the new.

The new Camp Dog Man Cave #2.  As it nears completion I have moved it into place and camped in it this weekend just to make sure everything is in order for this hunting season of course.  During hunting season I spend all my weekends at camp unless I'm out doing a show, so it's important to have it all stocked and in good working order.  One of the things I look forward to besides sitting in my box stand awaiting that monster buck is cooking at camp with friends, there's just nothing else like it.

Today I will share with you one of my camp recipes, Deer Chili (with a cajun twist) in 3 easy steps:
Hope you enjoy.

Deer Chili-Camp Recipe

2 - tablespoons vegetable oil
2 - 15oz. cans chili beans
1 - 32 oz. can diced tomatoes
2 - pounds of ground deer meat
2 - medium onions chopped
2 - tablespoons of chili powder
1 - jalapeno pepper chopped (optional)
1 - medium bell pepper chopped
1 or 2 table spoons (to taste) of  Cajun_Seasoning, I use Camp Dog original, it has the garlic and celery needed for this recipe already in it.

Step 1:
Place all ingredients into a slow cooker (crock pot works well).  Stir, cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

Step 2:
Go hunting for that big buck, pack a lite lunch and stay all day if need be.

Step 3:
Return to camp and process your deer harvest or help a buddy with his, then sit down next to a warm campfire and enjoy a hot bowl of Camp Chili seasoned with Camp Dog Cajun Seasoning

It don't get no better than that !
Hope to see you in the woods and remember to take a kid outdoors.  Have a safe and memorable hunting season.
